Our love of the mountains and nature has been a great way of providing energy for the rest of our lives. In this blog we want to give you ideas for future trips and provide you with thoughts to inspire your daily life, we hope you will enjoy sharing our love of the outdoor world.
We have lived just north of Greater London, England for most of our adult lives and have always loved adventure and being outside. When we were young, we did our Silver Duke of Edinburgh Award expedition together in Snowdonia. Later on, we spent weekends on the crags in the Peak District and Snowdonia and for our honeymoon we camped in the Western Highlands of Scotland. We have a close family with four adult children who were introduced to the mountains when they were very young and still come travelling with us and their partners when they’re free.
Professionally, Paul started out as a management trainee in the construction industry and later studied for a Diploma in Management Studies at Hertfordshire University. He then spent time as the Managing Director of four companies both in the UK and France. He is now a self-employed Business & Executive Coach. Jane completed her first degree in 1986 in Geology and Physics going on to work as a Geophysicist in the oil industry and then as an Environmental Consultant. She has taught STEM subjects at school and is currently working as a private tutor.
We have had a very happy life together for over 30 years, although like most others we have also had our challenges. We chose the name “Exploring Life’s Mountains” because of our love of exploring and mountains but felt it also applies to the challenges or difficulties in our lives. As we share our experiences over the years we hope that this blog may help all our readers enjoy a more fulfilled life journey – whether that be an adventure to distant climbs or just being able to improve your daily life.
